Tactical Tech has developed AI & Us, a new critical digital literacy activation package that explores the growing concerns and everyday questions people and organisations have about artificial intelligence — what it is, what it is not, and how it may both assist and hinder us. Designed to demystify AI and inspire reflection, AI & Us invites visitors to critically consider AI’s expanding role in society and its impact on our work, communication, and daily lives. Thanks to the Europe House Network, the exhibition will be displayed for the first time in the Western Balkans, premiering in Skopje on 17 November during the EU–Western Balkans Media Literacy Conference.
Through a series of engaging posters and an interactive display, the exhibition introduces key topics such as how algorithms and chatbots shape our choices (Chitty-Chatty-Bot-Bot), how synthetic media challenges truth (Deeply Wrapped), the mechanics of online scams (Have You Been Scammed?), and the invisible labour behind AI systems (Workers of the World’s Biggest...). It also explores our growing dependence on algorithmic decision-making (Living with Algorithms), the blurred lines of trust in digital spaces (Synthetic Trust), and the broader societal effects of AI on wellbeing and bias (Touch and Go and What Do You Think?). Together, these works invite the audience to question how AI technologies influence power, labour, truth, and everyday life.
